Not actually a "Greatest Hits" album per se, it's the cheekily-titled debut album by NJ-based powerpop band Luzer.
FROM CDBABY:
Formed in late 1999, LUZER is one of New Jersey's most promising up and coming modern rock bands. With influences ranging from the harder edged sounds of the Foo Fighters and Stone Temple Pilots to the melodic power pop sounds of Weezer and SR-71. Songwriter Tim Mahoney and drummer Dan Seeth (both formally of Life In General) brought in lead guitarist R. Dan Salyerds to record their first independent LP, humorously entitled Greatest Hits in the summer of 2000. Bassist Chris Volk joined soon after, and the band began performing locally.
After opening up for the national touring acts Jukebox Heroes & Long Live The Beatles at colleges and concert halls throughout the east coast on their Spring 2001 tour, the band returned to the studio to record their follow up album, The Fake Ass Rock Star EP.
Early 2002 brought the band overseas success in Japan, landing a record deal with the Japanese label Vinyl Junkie Records. They returned to the studio in the spring to record bonus tracks for the Japanese release of Fake Ass Rock Star. LUZER is currently gearing up for a summer tour with the The Mahoney Brothers. The Fake Ass Rock Star: Episode II is expected to be released mid-summer, featuring remixed versions of songs from the original EP and bonus tracks from the "Vinyl Junkie Sessions."
