5Sometimes we go through life with our eyes shut to the most important things God gives us. Things like friends, family, love, hope, laughter, and yes sometimes sorrow. In this, my attempt, to tell of some of those things I have chosen a small, pretend, town in the south. A town filled with genuinely good people, and a place where those people are doing God's work - be it a large or small task. This is a book of fiction, and the people depicted are people of my imagination. They are not necessarily ordinary people, but God's people going about the business of daily life. Theirs are stories of joy and sorrow that I have tried to tell in the language of the south; which is colorful and amusing. Some of their stories are fiction some I recall hearing in part but have put into my own words. The store in the story is one that lends a helping hand to those less fortunate. It is filled with laughs, drama, love, acceptance, but most of all one filled with the hope that God gives to all. It is THINGS WE FIND. Claudia grew up in the small town in of Pendleton, Indiana. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1958 and, after raising her children, from Ball State College in 1990. After retirement she has lived in Texas, close to her youngest daughter, and now lives in Georgia with her eldest daughter. However, she still thinks of Indiana as home. Throughout her lifetime she has written many poems and short stories about the events in her life. She prays you enjoy this story as much as she enjoyed writing it. God Bless Each of You.
