With high hopes and expectations, he arrived in America to a plethora of unexpected challenges. His fidelity to Ese is tested early by the reality of life in the US as an undocumented alien. Marriage to his American girlfriend promised immediate benefits and reliefs, including, decent employment, but he is torn and tortured by his obligation to his faithful fianc e. With unemployment squarely at his doorstep, he opted for the easy and immediate benefits of marriage to his American girlfriend.
