Lay your head down and rest.
Those blisters hurt, don't they?
"But they're so beautiful. How could they make me bleed?"
She said faintly.
I pulled her hair back
And tucked it behind her ears.
"I know . . .
But it is time for you to heal now.
Remember, darling, even red bottoms are painful,"
I replied.
