A historical novel about the life of C sar G mez Hern ndez, one of the masterminds of the Granma expedition. During the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship, Fidel Castro came into Cuba with his revolution, and once Castro took power, C sar G mez Hern ndez had to leave and exile in Mexico for being part of Castro's opposition.

In 1956 C sar G mez Hern ndez was aboard the famous Granma along with Fidel and Raul Castro, Che Guevara, and seventy-eight other revolutionaries seeking to free the country from US intervention and to end the horrors of the Batista government.

In this moving and intense novel, Oscar Vela as a protagonist narrates the story behind the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro's regime, and what Castro meant for the revolutionaries who joined him in the overthrow of Batista.
