This release is a compilation of two earlier Deutsche Grammophon recordings; tracks 1 to 4 were recorded in 1967, track 5 to 9 in 1963.
The analogue recordings were digitally remastered with the AMSI (Ambient Surround Imaging) technology, which was developed in Emil-Berliner-Haus in Hannover, Germany.
The CD was made in Germany by Universal L & M; the cover was also printed in Germany. Cover photograph was taken from the PhotoDisc stock photography collection by Getty Images. The packaging was designed by - Netzwerk -, Brunnée Werbeagentur and mach was Marketing, Bremen.
