The lyrics of this album were largely inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky's THE BROTHERS KAMAROV, particularly the chapter THE GRAND INQUISITOR, and contain many quotes and allusions to said novel.
This album was made to be listened to at once, from the beginning to the end.
The Ocean use Mesa Boogie amplification, Paul Reed Smith guitars, DR strings, Meinl cymbals, Tama drums, Evans drum heads and Tabu absinthe.
