The show is musically fascinating and ranks among the earliest surviving sound documents of German radio. Contains additional plate examples to illustrate the history of the years 1927-1931, including an experiment in 1929 to recreate the live atmosphere at the Cotton Club in the studio. Moreover some previously unissued takes from 1937 and previously unavailable recordings from Duke Ellington. The box includes a vinylsized 126-paged book by Horst J. P. Bergmeier and Rainer E. Lotz
