Unlike the Richter in the 1950s series, all of these recordings have previously been published, although in obscure and now-unobtainable editions.

Issued in standard jewel case with 4 pp. insert.

– tracks 1-1 to 1-16 were recorded at House of Scientists, Moscow, firstly issued by Ankh (6), catalog number ANKH200601 - see Sviatoslav Richter, Bach*, Beethoven*, Schumann* - Soviet Years Vol 4 / Moscow, February 27 1948
– tracks 2-1 to 2-4 were recorded at Grand Hall Of The Moscow Conservatoire, firstly issued by Ankh (6), catalog number ANKH200401
– track 2-5 and 2-9 were recorded at Grand Hall Of The Moscow Conservatoire, firstly issued by VENEZIA, catalog number CDVE 04382. Recording data for track 2-9 is mentioned as Oct. 14, 1948, not 1947.
