The CD front image shows the second Leipzig Gewandhaus and the concert hall is commonly regarded as the performing venue of Richter's November 28, 1963 recital, however, the "Neue Gewandhaus" was destroyed in the bombings of World War II and until the opening of the third Gewandhaus in 1981, classical concerts took place in the Kongresshalle zu Leipzig.

First published by Music And Arts Programs Of America, Inc. as CD-1025 in 1998; this repress of the original Parnassus issue was made at some point in 2016, release date unknown. Disc issued in standard jewel case with 4 pp. insert.
