It is the same as Italy's Northwind Records
Man's Best Friend release, only with different artwork.
First two songs misspelled Living on the Street and Not Stopping on the CD versions.
Includes four page fold out full colour booklet with photos and extensive liner notes.
Album Notes (by Matt McCourt):
The cover has an interesting story behind it. A real security dog and handler are on the cover. But the dog got spooked and really bit into the handler who had to be taken to hospital for the bite. He finished the shoot and off he went. So some of that is REAL blood.
The backdrop was used by Boy George for a Time Magazine piece the day before we arrived. So I spat blood on it and the boxes and made up the dog and handler to look rabid. The other bandmates were frightened by the dogs... and were standing on chairs! Oh how I wish I had photos of that scene...
The most vicious dog they left in the car outside Pat's studio in Oakland and it may have been a nice neighbourhood in the 60's when he moved in and shot photos of Jimi, Janis and the Grateful Dead. But it was pretty much a scene out of a movie. The dog scared the hell out of the locals.
Well the album came out, had backing vocals from Le Mans and Cacophony singer Pete Marino... which didn't seem to help the songs at all. And to this day Jeff gripes about it. But that's life... 20/20 hindsight... ya might as well be blind. My suggestion: always STICK TO YOUR GUNS! Do what you do and maybe someone will like it but... they'll never accuse you of "trying" to be something. Believe in Me, Endless Nights, Beauty and a Beast and the song that never fails live, Livin on the Streets, are my faves. I'm Matt McCourt, thanx for looking.
