The story of Krystyna Zywulska, poet/songstress, a prisoner in Auschwitz who created her works of defiance in the face of Nazi atrocities. Told in three chapters, Jake Heggie, composer and Gene Scheer, librettist were commissioned by Music of Remembrance in Seattle to convey the vastness of the Holocaust scope with these rich portraits.
