notes

According to the sleeve notes of the UK vinyl album this recording took place on the morning of January 14, 1960 (2.30-5.00 a.m.).
According to the notes included with the release of the complete lost concert on CD have a few more bit of info:
This concert was a command performance for friend and entertainers in the industry who were also working in Las vegas and could not attend a show at the normal time.
The notes claim this is a the only concert recording of Cole.
The recording was made at The Sands Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Looking at the info from the vinyl issue the perforamnce is 2 and a half hours long, and the music fills only one cd. Perhaps Cole gave some monologues too, which were not preserved or recorded at their full length or scrapped during editing. perhaps others joined him on stage which may be a problem if they were not on the same label and recording may have been omitted during those segments.

Made in Europe.
