"This is the first official volume (available on CD, LP and digitally) of minimal wave music from Europe and North America recorded in the 1980s. Most of the songs were originally released on limited edition cassettes or vinyl by the artists themselves, and only a handful of people knew about them, Now, they've been remastered from their analog source tapes tapes for your listening pleasure. Brought to you by Veronica Vasicka and Peanut Butter Wolf."

Released in a standard jewel case. Includes an eight page fold-out insert with notes and photos.

The Stones Throw catalogue number is wrongly stated as SSTH2223 on the back of the inlay. The Minimal Wave catalogue number is taken from the label's web-site.

Track 1: Recorded in 1983. Originally released on a cassette entitled 'Pulse Music'.
Track 2: Recorded in 1981. Originally released on their album entitled 'Signals From Pier Thirteen'.
Track 3: Recorded in 1982. Originally self-released on a cassette entitled 'New Mexico'.
Track 4: Recorded in 1984. First released as the title track for the 'Who's Really Listening?' Mini-LP.
Track 5: Recorded in 1985. Originally released in France on the 'Tempus Fugit' LP in 1986.
Track 6: Recorded in 1984. Originally released as the B-side to their single 'Grey Skies' in 1984.
Track 7: Recorded in 1985. Appeared on a CD compilation entitled 'A Conclusion Of Unrestrained Philosophy' in 1989.
Track 8: Appeared on their first demo tape of 4 songs, and also on the Ata Tak label's V/A 'Fix Planet!' LP in 1980.
Track 9: Recorded in 1982. Released on cassette on the Tear Apart Tapes label. Also released on the V/A 'Trans Atlantic Overdub' in 1985.
Track 10: Recorded in 1983. Originally released on their 'Just Because...' LP in 1984.
Track 11: Recorded in 1983. Originally released on 'Felicita' in 1983.
Track 12: Recorded live on October 31, 1983 and released by central tapes on a cassette called 'Withered Land Live' in 1983.
Track 13: Recorded in 1982. Self-released on the 'Midnite News' cassette in 1986.
Track 14: Recorded in 1983. Self-released on 'The Cabinet' in 1983.
