Written on backcover: 'Originally released in 1980, The Psychedelic Furs bridged the gap between late 70s punk and the new wave movement. Termed 'The Beautiful Chaos' by fans of the band, this album introduced the world to their unmistakable and unforgettable style and became a blueprint for a multitude of bands that followed'.

Tracks 1 to 9 recorded and released 1980 - from "The Psychedelic Furs" (UK: CBS 84084 / US: Columbia 36791).
Tracks 10 & 11 recorded 1980 - from "The Psychedelic Furs" (Columbia 36791).
Tracks 12 recorded 1980 - from the B-Side of the UK single "Pretty in Pink" (CBS 1327) & the B-Side of the US single "Angel's Don't Cry" (Columbia 38 07440).
Track 13 recorded 1979, Basing Street Studios, London, England - previously unreleased. Mastered at Sony Music Studios, New York. Designed at Compression Studios.

Richard Butler's vocals credit is actually printed on the release as "Butler (Rep Words)".
