No BS! Brass, Glows in the Dark, Angry Man Quintet, Hooten/Levin/Jones with JC Kuhl, and Jon Hey Quartet performed during the Mingus Awareness Project concert at The Camel in RVA on July 20, 2013. Several songs premiered during that concert.

The Mingus Awareness Project is a series of concerts that benefits organizations that provide support for individuals who have ALS as well as their families. MAP concerts also provide opportunities for audiences and performers to celebrate the music of Charles Mingus, music composed by artists who worked with Mingus, as well as music by composers who perform during MAP concerts. Eleven Mingus Awareness Project concerts have happened in Chicago, IL and Richmond, VA since 2007.
