The material for the symphonies of J.C. Hertel provided by the publishers Spaeth and Schmid.
Wolfgang Bauer plays on instruments by Martin Lechner, Bischofshofen.
SACD surround sound mix is configured using the 2+2+2 multichannel process developed by MDG. This process "allows three-dimensional sound reproduction [and] provides 'sweet spots' all over the listening area." The center channel is positioned above the left channel and the subwoofer is positioned above the right channel. The rear and stereo channels remain identical to a standard 5.1 setup. A standard stereo and 5.1 surround setup is also possible.
