The album was recorded at Academy Studios in West Yorkshire, UK, June 7th to August 4th, where all of the band's studio albums had been produced to that point. The album artwork was notably created by frontman, Aaron Stainthorpe.
Digitally remastered at Transfermation 2004.

This edition of The Light at the End of the World is presented on heavyweight vinyl in a gatefold jacket.
