The collective that is Isenordal orchestrates its songs beyond a conventional rock context, incorporating female and male voices as well as acoustic instruments to create a timeless effect of archtypical contrasts that resonate both on primal and intellectual levels. Their compositions span vast emotional breadth from the peaceful and pastoral to blackest abysmal depravity, all while mirroring and honoring the beauty of mother nature.

On "Shores Of Mourning," originally released in 2017 as a study in loss--"a cry for a long-absent sunrise over a sorrowful and chaotic plane"--Isenordal play doom with grim black metal undertones and a distinct folk flavor, dragging the listener into the vast wilderness of their home region, the Pacific North West. With songs spanning the emotional spectrum from abject despondency to healing solace, they remind us of nature's intertwined joyful beauty and mortal threat, molten together into a record of cathartic fire and sincere intent.
