When It's Time to Go
Sixty pieces on 2 CDs of monologues and music, with the text all based on artist David Greenberger's conversations with elderly residents of Santa Ana, California revealing their variety, dignity, grace, and humor. This two and a half hour work was created during an artist residency for that city's Grand Central Art Center. Personnel: David Greenberger: voice, Tyson Rogers: keyboards, Bob Stagner drums, Evan Lipson: bass, plus additional guests. The album cover was created specifically for this by the famous American artist Ed Ruscha.
