An intensely personal project, this newly released CD honors, with music, those who have experienced the journey of being diagnosed with the insidious disease of breast cancer. From “The Diagnosis” (El Diagnóstico) to “Hope” (Esperanza), Hernandez' expressive piano, bolstered by flute lines performed by Zachary Valenzuela, takes us on an emotional journey through anger, confusion, and ultimately, hope and peace.
