Time never stops… and this album proves it. As a band, we realize it at every rehearsal. Each moment shared creating our music gets us closer as human beings and helps us to better know each other. Our complicity is a feature of the album: music of passionate people who love what they do, a band with tight bonds, having its own signature.
Time left its mark on Néodyme by making us grow, gain in maturity and wisdom at each step. This new title has been well chosen, since it is a real signature that time left on us. It deeply represents what we are: a strongly united band, sharing the same vision to create what we like the most, music without compromise, music for the sake of music.
La signature du temps is an amalgam of complex and varied instrumental music going through different styles with passion. Exceptionally, a song featuring voices of Mathieu and Alexandre is on the album. It's light and fun, dark and emotive, always concise and intelligent with the audio production again improved. It’s a bit heavier than Le Guetteur still keeping our trademark duality between piano and electric guitar. Compositions are solid and melodic with great funky rhythms. The groove of the band is at its best!
Two pieces have been played live at the 10th Terra Incognita convention in Quebec City in 2014 and the reaction was awesome. The piece Fuite d'attention (Attention Leak) was previously released on the L'univers Progressif 2 compilation album by radio show Profil but has now been re-recorded for this new album. As all Néodyme’s works, each new listen brings its own discovery. Pray attention and you’ll hear the passion of a band resonate!
