Each year, head weaver Tamar supervises a team of young women to craft the temple veil-a beautiful, sacred curtain that separates the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies in the tabernacle in Jerusalem. Tamar takes great care to ensure that the curtain meets the exact specifications of Jewish law. But on one momentous Friday, the earth shakes, the skies turn black, and the unthinkable occurs.
