This release is Blechacz's debut recording for Deutsche Grammophon. It was recorded in July 2007 in Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Hamburg-Harburg (Germany). The CD was manufactured and the cover printed in the E.U.The CD and booklet are housed in a Digipak. On the front cover is a red sticker declaring this recording to be a "recording debut of the 2005 Warsaw Chopin competition winner"; it also contains two excerpts from reviews in the Financial Times and Westfälische Nachrichten, and the longer catalog number.
On the first page of the booklet is the drawing of Chopin by Eugène Delacroix from 1838 (© Musée du Louvre, Paris). The english translation from the polish liner notes was made by Polish Music Center at the University of Southern California.
The title on spine reads:
Chopin: Complete Preludes | 2 Nocturnes Op. 62
The title on the front cover omits the Nocturnes, but they are mentioned on the red sticker.
The shorter catalog number appears on spine. The longer (derived from the barcode), appears on the sticker, back cover, booklet and CD. The catalog numbers on the spine, booklet and back cover are followed by the letters GH (each in its own square).
