Recorded live at the Matrix in San Francisco, March 7 & 10, 1967 :

1-10 from March 7, 1st show
1-4, 1-5, 1-7, 2-1, 2-2, 2-5, & 2-7 from March 7, 2nd show
1-1, 1-9, 1-13 & 2-3 from March 7, 3rd show
1-2, 2-4, 2-6, 2-8 & 2-10 from March 10, 1st show
1-3, 1-6, 1-8, 1-11, 1-12, 2-9 & 2-11 from March 10, 2nd show

The tapes used were the original, first-generation copies 1/4 inch stereo at 7.5 inch/sec.
Guitar, keyboards and drums are on the left channel; Jim and Ray's vocals are on the right.
To restore the shows, the tapes were played back on a professional 4-channel tape recorder,
using Dolby B technology, AD122 A/D converters and recorded at 96 KHz 24 bits.
The mixing, editing, EQ and noise reduction were performed using digital software.
The recordings were then downmixed to 44.1 KHz for final sequencing and editing.

The booklet includes rare photos of the event & impressions by Bruce Botnick, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore & Robby Krieger, which they expressed in August 2008.
