slow tides of bile and blood
every shimmering tissue and organ
joins the undulating choir
singing an unheard music.

We return to the ovum to seek
our perfect watery origins
to see again our original face
we enter the womb of all possibility
recapitulate our gestation and birth
and dance its meaning back into being
dance it down into the earth
to heal its wounds
to let it sing again
as of old."
