Tracks 2, 5, 8, 9 are from the Carnatic repertoire, composed in Sanskrit and Telugu by the singer-saints Tyagaraja and Dikshitar.
Track 11 is a Tiruvachakam, an earlier form of hymn to Shiva, written in Tamil.
