Liner Notes: "Mindy Smith, who wrote the theme song for the national PBS series, 'Shelter Me,' has partnered with the show to produce 'Songs For Shelter Me,' an 11-track various artist compilation album. A portion of the proceeds will benefit shelter pets by helping transport pets from overcrowded shelters to areas of the country where they are quickly adopted, assist with spay-neuter programs, education initiatives and innovative adoption events.

The 'Shelter Me' series was created by filmmaker Steven Latham who wants more people to get involved with and adopt from their public animal shelters. He tells uplifting stories to help people realize that shelter pets make the best pets. 'Shelter Me' is presented by Ellen DeGeneres' pet food company, Halo, Purely for Pets, and together they are committed to the well being of shelter pets."
