NOTES
Limited edition of 100.Version by The Members is an album of cover versions of originals by Buzzcocks, The Ramones, The Lurkers
The Kinks, David Bowie, Prince, Velvet Underground John Holt, Gregory Issacs, Bob Marley, Dillinger, Grandmaster Flash and Abba in an Extraordinary Record.
This compilation goes right back to the roots of Punk and Reggae in the Uk.
JC Carroll first heard the Dillinger Track Cokane in by Brain when Don Letts played it at the Roxy Club in 1977, With Chris Payne he saw shows by The Heartbreakers and the Lurkers at the Vortex. They pay tribute to the late Pete Shelley on two tracks with radical reworking of two Buzzcocks classics. This album highlights the band's enduring love affair with reggae with Paul Taylor(Trombone) echoing the work of Rico Rodriguez, as always with the Members there are shades of 80’s electronic music never far from the surface as they demonstrate the skills they learned from Fad gadget and Martin Rushent.
