The teachings portray the value of virtue, its beauties and its necessity for the conduct of a good life. These accounts may at first appear anecdotal, but they furnish at the same time the strongest proofs of the possibility of carrying out in real life precepts and principles which might otherwise seem beyond the capabilities of most.
