This recording of Macbeth is based on the 1865 Paris Version and is unabridged. However the scene of Macbeth's death from the original has been inserted between the battle and the final chorus in the otherwise unaltered Paris Version.

Blu-ray is a high fidelity pure audio disc. Contains all tracks of the CDs in the same order, for a total of 31 tracks. Although on disc is printed "LPCM 24-bit Stereo" and back cover has also the logo of "Dolby True HD", the actual audio content is encoded in DTS-HD Master Audio (MA) 2.0. The repertoire was remastered at 24 bit / 192 kHz.
