Recorded in 1989. Recovered from analog tape and remastered almost 30 years later. This record is a compilation of original concert and studio recordings for (De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas) these are the real recordings of Dead and Euronymous. What Mayhem was supposed to be.

*The only Mayhem studio tracks recorded with Dead on vocals. These bonus tracks also appeared in 1990 on (Projections Of A Stained Mind) compilation and original vinyl release of (Live In Leipzig)

Unfortunately Pelle Ohlin (Dead) was not alive long enough to be featured in all the songs he wrote, some of them are instrumental.

“I’ve written the lyrics to all the songs after Deathcrush: ‘Funeral Fog’, ‘Freezing Moon’, ‘Buried by Time and Dust’, and ‘Pagan Fears’. Mostly they deal with how I feel when I wrote them. (...) The most difficult one so far is the one that will be the title track of «De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas».”
