“'Black Water' was written at the Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in 1984 and premiered at the New Music America festival in Los Angeles the following year. Its title came from from an anthology of short stories edited by Alberto Manguel, a book I happened to be reading while composing it.” (Jim Fox)"Black Water" is written for three pianos, which were all recorded, via overdubbing, by Bryan Pezzone.
