With strong vocals, passionate fiddle, and finely written vignettes, SeaStar’s “Home” is a journey of the heart. Born of Celtic and folk roots, this debut release is a colour palette of calm seas, stormy nights, and the occasional break of sunlight.
After 3 successful years of playing in the Pacific Northwest, SeaStar raised the funds to record their first studio album at Paradise Sound in Index, WA. The project was funded by 72 fans and friends who believed in these fine performers and their music.
SeaStar is a blend of both the old and the new, the tranquil and passionate, the dramatic and the playful. It is a band that takes its music seriously, but has the good humor to not take itself too seriously. They are equal parts storyteller and muse, weaving a tapestry of poetry and music while leaving enough breathing room for the audience to dream and contemplate. Their love of musical storytelling is only surpassed by their desire to share it with others. No two shows are alike, just as no two songs are alike, just as no two people are alike.
