Puerto Rican "Afro-progressive sound"! So cool! No question needed. More muscular feeling than Yerba Buena or LAI. It also reminds me El Combo Xingu and Fusion of Chile even time and region are different. This Puerto Rican group with 8 members "Bando" has strong flavor of analog disc. Many elements such as Afrobeat of Fela Kuti matter, Puerto Rican Salsa in 70s, Latin rock are integrated, and we can feel the beat of Puerto Rican traditional music such as Bomba.
Very impressive hooks and phrases surprise us and the improvisations and arrangement are very effective thanks to the very solid structure of compositions. Very tight and sensual plays also attract us. Members should be of the generation that gets through the hip-hop or club music in real time, but they stand firm in tight and hard, rather retro sound without going to digital gimmicks. Drums and Guitars in all tunes are marvelous. Highly recommended.
