Originally recorded in a few sessions over a couple of years in the early 1990s, this album was passed over by indie rock labels at the time but ended up being passed hand to hand on tapes and CD-Rs by fans of North Carolina music for years. Often associated with the Chapel Hill scene of the 90s, Rebar was rooted in Greensboro and was often compared to their contemporaries at the time, Polvo, The Grifters or even the Flaming Lips. Rebar stumbled into a sound that ignored tempo, songwriting conventions or message but still managed to rock, hook and move you, often oscillating between noodling jam band to heavy or noisy riff rock – in the same song. Led by guitarist / vocal person Sanders Trippe and joined by Jae Skaggs on drums, Brent Dunn on Bass and at first Greg Sigmon then Masayuki Koyama on guitar congealing into a somewhat functioning machine with perhaps too many or too few parts at any given time.

Although this album is not a comprehensive collection of all Rebar songs it is the complete set recorded by sound engineer David Lloyd Jr. at Lloyd St. Studios.
