Winston and his buddies break into homes when no one is there. They do it for the rush and never take anything of value.
Except for this one time.
Winston agrees to break into old man Kelley's home while he and his daughter are at the theatre. However, this B&E will be different. The rumor is Kelley is a millionaire with thousands of dollars in cash laying around the house. Winston agrees to break in and steal $300, assured the old man will never miss it.
But there is this one problem. The house isn't empty.
Upon entering, Winston finds Mr. Kelley on the floor. He is unconscious and unresponsive. He knows he could get the money and leave. Mr. Kelley is in no position to stop him. He could go and call 9-1-1. Winston is convinced no one would know he was there.
The real Winston appeared. He gave up the burglary, dials 9-1-1, and remains with Mr. Kelley until help arrives.
This simple act of kindness creates an unlikely bond between Kelly and Winston. Winston agrees to move in and be Mr. Kelley's caretaker. Kelly decides to bring Winston in and provide stability and encouragement needed to become the person destiny called him to be.
All actions have consequences. The consequences of Winston's actions that night change not only his life of the lives he touches as he grows into the man he was destined to become.
