This book is a compilation of stories, humor and history of the Garrett Family of Kilmichael, Mississippi. As told by some of the children and grandchildren of Bettie and John Garrett, it contains homespun remedies for ailments, homemade toys and funny situations in the early 1900's. The 182-page book also contains brief family ancestry information including surnames Evans, Garrett, Garner, Stewart, Grantham and Chesteen. Big Black High School's entire 1947 yearbook is included, along with ads and sponsors. All 13 of the Garrett siblings are featured along with some of their stories, traditions and life contributions. This is a labor of love to capture and share these intriguing stories before the recollections are lost.
