Flin the Fish focuses on a fish named Flin who is picked on in his school for being different. Flin was born upside down. Flin is always looking up. He doesn't see things the same way the others do. Flin the Fish is a picture book utilizing optical illusions for children. Select pages will show Flin pointing to something that the others dismiss. When you reach the end of the book, it will ask you to flip it over and look at it from Flin's perspective. Once the book is upside down, you will see what Flin saw all along The illustrations have a subtle and minimalistic feel to them, executed using watercolor with slight pops of color throughout, whilst mainly keeping a black and white consistent tone.
