Once Upon A Swan is about the author's encounter with a male Trumpeter Swan while walking in a city park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Trumpeter Swan allowed the author to get close enough to touch him and photograph him for more than two hours. He had never seen a swan at that lake in the two years that he had walked the park on a daily basis, nor has seen one since.
