Mavis Johnson creates an exciting and playful narrative of MaKaya and her new friends. "MaKaya's New Friends" is a picture book about a young girl who has had to quarantine at home for a long time because of a pandemic. Makaya has become lonely without friends to play with, so little MaKaya pretended that the angels could make her mask and toys talk.
