Maxine is a young orphan girl with a little secret... the teddy bear that is always in her arms can talk! When no one's around, they chat to each other and make plans for Maxine to find her family. Long ago, Teddy heard Maxine's family talking about an aunt who lived in their city of London, and the pair are determined to find her. Along they way they make a new friend, Tai, who has an interesting and musical life of his own, and who helps them in their journey that leads them all the way across the Atlantic Ocean.
