In 2021, Mississippi State University battled Vanderbilt University for the title of College World Champions. A known avid Mississippi State fan, author Sedgie Taylor was challenged by his friends to write a poem during the game. Sedgie agreed and constructed "We are the Champions Now" live, during the game. The poem details the entire game from the first pitch to the very last out. Also, included in the book are additional poems and anecdotes by author Sedgie Taylor.
