Life in the castle is a challenge for Adelle, struggling to come to terms with her new responsibilities as Empress, and finding the confidence to garner the respect she deserves. After a spell to discover the location of their real enemy exposes the truth behind Adelle's parentage, family secrets are revealed and Adelle must decide who she can trust.

With her friends gone and Jack's life in danger, due to her poor judgement, Adelle begins to question whether she should be Empress. When the true danger to Mystica is uncovered Adelle must find the courage to face their greatest threat, or risk losing everything and everyone she's ever cared about.
