Arthur Washington is lonely, lost and drunk in Spain. After several weeks of a not so inspiring trip, two things happen that rock Arthur's world.
Firstly, he spends a night a sea with an enigmatic woman who goes by the name of Coco, and secondly, he is discovered at the bottom of a cliff, a broken, bloody mess.
Did he jump, fall or get pushed?
His uncle, Tito, a roguish film producer with an addiction he ain't about to kick, enlists the services of Emilio, a wannabe actor with a secret life, and together they struggle to rehabilitate Arthur over the summer.
But holed-up in a fourth floor apartment overlooking the esplanade and sea below, Arthur descends deeper into alcoholism as he passes his days by the balcony doors, glued to an antique telescope in the vain hope that Coco walks by.
Then one afternoon she does.
