h's most beautiful floral portraits, Almond Blossom, has been applied to Galison's Vincent Floral Collection keepsake box of note cards. Van Gogh created this work to celebrate the birth of his nephew, using the fragile buds as a symbol of new life. Details of four vibrant oil on canvas floral portraits are reproduced on four cards each: Almond Blossom, 1890, from the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam; Sunflowers, 1888, from the Neue Pinakothek, Munich; A Vase of Roses, 1890, from a private collection, and Irises, 1889, from the J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu. The sturdy decorative box holds cards and envelopes neatly, and when the cards have been sent, it's great for storing all sorts of little things--from extra buttons to pearls.
