The ministry of Peter and other early missionaries begins the study, with a major portion of the book following the missionary journeys of Saint Paul. Throughout, Anderson explains the dominant role the Holy Spirit plays in the spread of Christianity. He addresses the rapid and dramatic changes in the years following the ascension of Jesus and the political and religious challenges his disciples endured.
