The parable of the Good Samaritan has six main characters: the victim, the bandits, a priest, a Levite, the innkeeper, and the Good Samaritan. We often only think about the victim and the good Samaritan, but we can learn much from each participant in the story. And as we think about each character, considering how we might relate to each one, we can grow and see that trauma touches all of us in a variety of ways.
