Twenty-five years ago, Rowena Cory Daniells, Marianne de Pierres and Adrianne Fitzpatrick founded Vision Writers. For twenty-five years, Vision Writers has been a supportive, proactive group of speculative fiction writers, meeting once a month to share stories and give feedback. That deserves an anthology, right?

This year also marks my tenth year as a member, and I look forward to many more as the group continues to grow and develop. Though in the most important ways, I hope it stays exactly the same. At its core, Vision is small group of passionate writers, encouraging and helping one and other, while having a great time.

I hope Vision Writers can continue to be a place of learning, fun, community, friendship and belonging. A place where we can celebrate one another's victories, steer each other away from dangers, and point one another to the next great opportunity.

This anthology is just a snapshot of a much larger process. The final product of community, friendship, passion, secret drives, quiet hopes, outlandish daydreams and a lot of very hard work-some of which was done in lonely places, at dark times, but always with love.
