Growing Up with Papa is an expression of love and feelings for family, friends, animals, flowers and nature through art and proverbs. It displays the special bond between father and daughters through 60 colourful photos of paintings by Ellyse Tran from the age of 7 to 13. It also contains words of wisdom from Aristotle, Baha'i writings, Buddha, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, John Evelyn, Josh Billings, Lao Tzu, Leonardo da Vinci, Samuel Johnson, Sigmund Freud, Socrates, among many others and Vietnamese poets: Nguyen Du and Nguyen Dinh Chieu.
